We don't even have photographs of them yet ourselves, when we do we'll post them with a link to the gallery.
Today at the studio we are adding hangers to the backs of several pieces.
Hope you day is going well.

The gallery owner, that represents us, came to dinner last night and selected five new pieces for an October show. We don't even have photographs of them yet ourselves, when we do we'll post them with a link to the gallery. Today at the studio we are adding hangers to the backs of several pieces. Hope you day is going well. Add Comment We finally managed to kayak down the St. George River from our studio, day before yesterday. So we floated and paddled ( a little) from 11:30 to 3:30 and ended our photographic/painting/listening to music/and talking journey, by having a late lunch and early dinner at the Slipway Restaurant. A lovely, much needed day out. We are continuing to work on our newest book, "The Garden of Eaten". Working on the text now, about 80 more pages to go. Should be completed next week, and be online shortly after that. The studio is everywhere, whether we are in our studio or not. If our intention is to create, we will. Sometimes studio work is tidying up, which we've done this morning, and now we're ready to begin a new piece. We'll take it outside to be in the fresh air and sunshine. It's a small panel 2 feet by 15 inches, and we'll sit at our umbrella table and enjoy what happens. Hope your day is a happy one. Well, that's done, all those panels and canvases have been painted, that is to say, they have their background coat of color on now. Turned out to be 56 pieces altogether, with the panels needing to be painted on both sides. Today we were able to get out on the river in our kayaks early this morning, before the rains came in. That, in itself, was a break-through, it's been a long time since we were able to do that. So breakfast was on the water today. Once back in the studio, we've scanned in images and downloaded the camera, as we begin work on a new book, "The Garden of Eaten". Hope you're having a good day. We have only 24 more panels and canvases to do. Taking a small break for lunch then back to finishing this project before the rains come in the afternoon. Hope you're having a creative day. Well, only managed two panels yesterday, front back and edges. It was too hot. Today it's a bit overcast and cooler, so here we go again. Also set up the ladder across two sawhorses, which allows us to lay out more panels and paint many at a time. Should go faster. Hope your day is unfolding nicely for you, too. Today will be another kind of painting day, one of painting the panels that the artwork either attaches to or is painted onto. Lots of black paint will be used and we have several size panels to do. 38 wood panels to paint and canvases. Hope your day is a good one for you. |
