Ibiyinka Alao, the UN Ambassador for the Arts from Nigeria, visited us at our studio two days ago.
We had much in common in our feelings about art and its expression and sacredness. He will be returning to the studio while he's here, giving us both time to share with each other the stories and experiences of living a life of art.
Our connection with Oya, the Nigerian Goddess of the Voice for women, was a delight to Ibiyinka, who was surprised that we even of her.
Getting together for dinner will give us further time to talk and share with one another.
