Spring

No sooner did winter end
than spring comes waltzing in
all gussied and flip

just waiting to be noticed,
appreciated for its early
crocuses and jonquils

looking for looks quite frankly,
hoping to be found out
between the left-over leaves
and peeled bark

everyone so glad
to be out of the bulky coats, the mittens,
and the heavy boots,
that spring should be an easy mark, but

everyone’s looking at everyone else
and spring is having a hard time.

nature gets treated as a backdrop
to life, background scenery,
the thing over someone’s shoulder,
mount something-or-another,
in the photos

saint patties day is here,
winter’s turning green with envy,
it’s the last of it,
we’re tilting toward summer
and the snowmen
have all headed north
for the duration, sweating out
the climate change and talking
amongst themselves.



Better be noticing what’s looking
for you to be looking,
spring is getting all dressed up
with everywhere to go.

It's been a big week for us, we have undone and re-done the studio throughout the entire week. The effort has been worth it, even though we're not yet finished.

There is more space between the isles of our work areas and that will make a big difference with the new work we're getting ready to do.

The fun part is having the splitter plugged into the laptop at the cafe and sharing the listening with Su.Sane. Electronics are so fun.

What a wonderful day, the sun is out. Something so grand about a nice crisp winter day with the sun bright and shining, making all things stand out in their individualness.
